GAS WORKS DITTONS ROAD STONE CROSS

Essential gas main replacement – Dittons Road,  Stone Cross

From Monday 15th April to 6th September our specialist contractors DJ Utilities will be replacing the gas main along Dittons Road in Stone Cross.   These essential works will involve the replacement of old metal gas pipes with new plastic pipes to ensure we can continue to provide a safe and efficient gas supply to the community.  By replacing these pipes will also provide a permanent solution to address leaks on this gas main.

Our engineers will be replacing the gas main on Dittons Road from the junction of the A22 to the junction of Lion Hill. 

For everyone’s safety temporary traffic management will be in place around our work area as we progress.  These will vary from multi-way lights to 2-way lights dependent on our work location and  when we are working across side road junctions.  These lights will be manned Monday to Saturday 7am to 7pm.    We’d advise motorists that traffic delays are possible, we suggest roads users plan local journeys accordingly.

Bus stop suspensions will be required as we progress, we recommend passengers check with their service providers for any changes to bus stop locations and timetables.
